The first generation Vios in Thailand has put together one million square feet Gateway City Gateway Toyota plants, Amphoe Plaeng Yao, Chachoengsao province, under a cooperation project between engineers and designers Thai Japanese car manufacturer Toyota.
The Vios in Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei and Malaysia, Taiwan, and is powered by 1.5-liter VVT-i 1NZ-FE. The smaller engine 2NZ-FE 1.3-liter is available in the Philippines. In China, the Vios comes with an 8A-FE engine. Levels of implementation in South Asia are J, E, S and G, while the DLX, GL, GLX and GLXi are in China.
